To ensure that the Gewandhausorchester remains one of the world’s leading orchestras in the future, we are securing long-term financial support for special projects with the Stiftung Zukunft Gewandhaus zu Leipzig. Together with numerous committed citizens, we are continuing the history of the 16 merchants and traders who founded the Gewandhaus Orchestra in 1743 in the private foundation Stiftung Zukunft Gewandhaus zu Leipzig.
